Winter is round the corner.. and no one should be frumpy or shabby .. because we want to keep warm. I intend to do it with style this winter. So lets start with this lovely, lovely hand crocheted scarf made by thefinickystitcher from Etsy. It is for a young girl.. so i can share it with my daughter. The yarn for the scarf is a medium worsted weight, 51% cotton/49% acrylic. The flower is 100% cotton. It can be washed and dried in a machine but may keep nicer by laying it flat to dry. I think i need to move some bookshelves around and find a place to hang all my beautiful scarves i am gonna collect this winter. At $21 .. i still think it is a good buy.
Yes.. !! i very into skin care as you can see.. because i’ve had bad skin before and acne care treatment just ain’t fun. I believe in prevention than cure, therefore, I have absolutely no qualms spending money on skin care. Kose Sekkisei is the range of skin care that I am currently using.. and ever since leaving Asia for Canada.. i order them online. Sure i have to pay for shipping .. and wait for a couple of weeks before they do arrived.. but i can’t settle for anything else.. because it’s my face you are talking about.

I cannot understand why some people bring their notebook or laptop with them for Gym. Even if they were put in a locker, you know that you stand a chance to get it stolen from you right..?? Today at the Gym.. some woman who is also a member lost her Toshiba Satellite , boy!! was she upset..!! i would be too lah..! if i were her. So lesson to be learned her.. DO NOT BRING YOUR LAPPIE for gym or swimming..!! common sense right..??
Gem of Life Episode 5 for watching now. What better way to spend an evening.. without any the big and small kid.. than to sit prepare for a home facial.. and watch the Gem of Life Episode 4. I can’t get enough of this TVB series.. or just about any kind of TVB series. So i’m waiting for the end of the day to come.. so that i can lean back.. relax .. sip my red wine.. have a facial .. while watching my favorite tvb shows. That’s my kinda life.. before the kid came alone. What about ..?? what’s your favorite show..?? Oh by the way.. you can watch the show HERE.
Told yer.. i was gonna check it out.. but i wasn’t really impressed. Seriously, the perfume didn’t really smell like something i would like a lot… and i feel like i was actually only paying for the pretty bottle. I mean it fascinates me now.. but i know it is only gonna go on my dresser .. and collect dust.. plus I am not gonna pay $49 for a cute figurine eh.
The perfume is inside the dolls.. so you can imagine how small a bottle they are eh. Only 15 ml i think… and $49 !!!! but most importantly like i said.. the smell wasn’t what i had expected .. nor something i went like wow..!!! i have to have it. I think i am still a very much Eternity and Dune kinda woman.
The packaging is not the prettiest.. but if you’ve been to Tokyo, Japan .. to the Harajuku Station .. you will probably understand the packaging a lot better. True to its name .. Harajuku.. it’s pretty much identify with the mode.. and the spirit and color at the Harajuku station in Japan.
La Senza is having a sale.. where some of the lingerie and lounge wear are going for cheap..! and when i said cheap.. i mean really cheap.. !! I bought quite a few of them.. in fact.. and eyeing on getting more this weekend. I love shopping at La Senza .. because it’s comfortable.. but some other lingerie places that I go to.. they have security cameras even at the corridors of the changing room. Now that made me really uncomfy, what about you ..?? But anyhow.. donch forget.. go check out the sale at La Senza.
I was pretty tempted to set up my own spa business when i first arrived in Canada because of how good i am with people after working in the hotel industry for more than 15 yrs. But i’m glad I didn’t because of all the budgeting and planning one has to do when you own your own business. After watching the spouse run his own business in this town for the last 9 yrs.. i know how tough it is. So for those who thinks.. that it is all beauty and fun owning your oiwn beauty shop .. think again .. because a lot of hard work is involved. Plus don’t forget you have to pay the esthetician as well.. and make sure they come to work.
Rosa’s Nail is owned by a Vietnamese woman. When she first opened.. i felt a need to recommend her to our customers.. because she is an Asian. And you know us Asians.. we loved to help fellow Asians. But what’s most intriguing about Rosa’s store was the theater seating massage chair she had.. for those ladies doing their pedicure. I have yet to go try it.. because as much as i loved to .. there is this hygience thing about the water she uses for pedicure. So i guessed if i don’t want to come back with atheletes foot i should avoid it.
So yes..! you heard right.. ! i looked out for discounted perfume.. or perfume on sales.. and when i was back home.. they had a place for discounted perfume.. and discounted skin care.. in a place near Clarke Quay.. but i heard they closed shop .. even before i left for Canada.
Well.. coming back to the present.. do you buy discounted perfume..?? or you just buy whatever you fancy..?? i used to buy them from the airport. .since i traveled so much for work.. and i buy whatever i liked.. since at that time.. i had a really good paying job.
Some may think that discounted perfume are not that good anymore.. but i’m tell yer.. it’s not true.. i’ve bought discounted perfume.. at as much as 50% discount.. and they still were good.. and lasted till the last drop. So there.. you have the expert opinion.. about discounted perfumes.. but for skin care lotions.. now that’s another story.. for another day.
