Canadian winters suxs.. and not like what most people think .. sparkling snowflakes and steaming mugs of cocoa.. does not come to mind.. when you have been here .. for as long as I had. But itching skin and dry skin and even inflamed skin.. is what winter is all about for us here. So zap out of the dreamy look when you think of winter and the snow.
A girlfriend who took up some programming jobs here in Canada .. was shocked to see how dry her skin became in just one winter.. and quickly called me.. and ask me what to do. Winter skin care 101 is what i call my save your skin program.
First off, only use soap in areas that is absolutely necessary, such as where they are dirty.. and skin folds, hands and feet. For the face, make sure you use mild soap free cleanser. I use the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and they are abotu $10 .. cheap, cheap.
My mother used to say .. Take care of your mouth and your body will thank you .. and it’s true because oral health can significantly contribute to one’s overall health and well being. First of all .. having good oral hygiene gives one the confidence that one cannot buy with money. Health of one’s gum is very important.. and if you don’t take care of it right, you know you will be having gum disease soon and you know what that means right..?? it will affect your entire body. So investing on Fenphedra is great.. but investing on a Sonicare e9500 is just as important. I never travel without my sonicare.
I do love Reitmans.. because they have clothing that fits me and fits me well. They are indeed fashionable.. and sometimes they have very good deals. Since they moved to their new location .. away from the mall, I haven’t been into it at all because it is not as open as the one in the mall.. and not as inviting. I know they are the same company and all.. in fact the same gals working too.. but just so inconvenient.. because it is in another part of the town. A visit today to the new location saw some pet beds i thought was for sale, but nope apparently they belonged to one of the working gal there.. and she had just bought it. So instead of buying clothes for myself.. i ended up getting something for my pet.

You must be wondering .. why am i introducing kid’s stuff..?? no.. no donch you worry.. i’m pretty much gonna keep this place.. to share my beauty tips with you .. and beauty buys. But while looking for a body wash for my kid.. i found this with “Kiss My Face” range of products. I know you are no stranger to this product right.. and the kid coiuld use a change from Johnson’s and Johnsons or Baby Gerber. But having said that.. the reason why i brought this foam wash up.. is because since my skin is so dry.. because of the winter.. any kind of soap seems to hate my skin.. and when i come out from the shower.. it leaves red patches.. all over my hands and legs. But when i used my kid’s foam wash.. i’m ok.. and in fact.. i come out feeling not so dry. So if you are like me, try this self foaming wash.. i’ll bet you will like it too.

Before coming to Canada.. socks had to be a tinge of pink.. with pom pom on it .. preferably. And it only has gotta be ankle high.. slight above .. not higher. I’ve often lament that after coming to Canada.. i never have anything nice.. and when i saw some cute pom pom socks during Christmas.. and cheap at that.. i had to get them.
But alas, after wearing it.. i realised that practicality is a need here in Canada.. the socks wasn’t warm enough.. and my $12 for 8 socks are way warmer than the pom pom socks i had gotten. So i’m gonna stop whining about not having nice things to wear from now on .. all because i’m in Canada..!! where winter is like 6 months long.
As far as i can remember .. i’ve been wearing panty liners..like forever. What about you ..?? can anyone go without wearing one..?? As a wife and a mother, one needs to not only find the best price for stuff like that.. but also make sure .. that it is workign .. and do the things.. that you want it to do. Longer, shorter, wider.. or unscented, scented .. or smell absorbant … and the works.
So which one works better for you..?? i find that a certain brand works a lot better than the others.. but the self absorbant ones.. they don’t really work the way i want it.. in fact.. it doesn’t smell so nice… after having it on for a few hours. The unscented ones .. i also tried.. but nah.. i still like the scented ones. And i prefer the ones .. which is longer in size.. .and how can anyone find comfort in wearing the thong panty liners..?? is beyond me. So for those who thinks that the self absorbant one is a better buy .. nope.. it is not .. not for me anyways.
Was out looking for office furniture and came back to the store with this Donna Karan’s Be Delicious. It isn’t new at all .. this perfume, in fact it was launched in 2004. You must be wondering why i took so long to try it.. ?? well.. as you all know.. i’m into the don’t need to be expensive to look and feel good about oneself right..?? But since it was on sale .. and came with some body lotion.. i saw it as a treat to myself.
The Delicious Series was named because of the inspiration of New York City.. “The Big Apple” that everyone calls it. Don’t the perfume look like a green apple to you ..?? albeit having a metallic cover. Smells a wee bit like apple and some exotic flowers .. with some wood smell.. but not the woody smell that the men like .. almost sensuous. If you had seen the commercial.. you will know why .. they said it’s so delicious .. i just wanna take a bite – corny eh..? At $68 .. not a bad price.
