During my monthly spa date with my girlfriends one day we all lamented about not really having a life after having children.  But I know that most of us would love to get back into the work force once our kids are older.  In fact, one of my best friend is very interested in an  online teaching degree and the majority of us are already planning ahead to re-enter the workforce, but not without the right ammunition. After all, in this day and age where technology is constantly changing then online upgrading is how I would do it if i were planning to go back to work.

Why? because many of us cannot afford the time to just up and leave the kids and home to do our own things. Being a mother for 6 years I can tell you that the only way I can do any upgrading is online.  An online degree will allow me to study whenever I can, it allows me flexibility to stop studying the minute my kid pukes or falls ill since I am a self motivator.   It  has to be within my budget and I can get support not only from my family but also from a mentor who is dedicated and has unlimited online resources to help me as well.  And being a tech savvy trendy mom I can chat with other online students doing the same courses through chat rooms etc. I find that sharing ideas with my peers helps me understand and is uplifting and encouraging, knowing that I are not alone.  Is upgrading online as good as physically going into a university?  Yes! But you have to look for the reputable ones, ones that are student focused as well.  I do my research well – you will too I am sure.
