May 29th, 2010Infrared Sauna

Some of you might not have heard of Infrared Sauna but before coming to Canada – i had started out on doing it followed by a massage because they said it gets rid of toxin in our body.  And for someone who doesn’t exercise very much and am indoor a lot – or in my situation – has winter like 6 months a year – you really need to take care of your body.  It’s a 30 mins session and i’m sure you can spare it – only $15 – people say it’s good to do it daily – but who can afford $15 a day right?  that would be way more expensive than  any  hemorrhoidal treatment , so i opted for once a week instead – that would be $60 a month – not too bad i would say.   For a healthy lifestyle – and it helps with skin rejuvenation – it is said it energized the body and aches and pains disappears too.

May 26th, 2010Painless Waxing

So i finally was able to get in to see my esthetician to take care of my ugly brows and upper lips.  Did you know it does make a world of difference when one can get your eyebrow shaped and those ugly little hair around your upper lips taken care of.  I said it’s the best $20 one can spend every other month.  I don’t know about others but it sure made me feel really clean.  So the beautician and I started talking about alli diet pill because i was thinking of doing the infrared sauna to help sweat out some toxins – since i hardly exercise.  But that would be for another day and another story.  But yes – while my sister is afraid of the pain with waxing – i can tell you that it’s actually painless – doesn’t even feel like an ant bite.  So for those who having waxed their upper lips or eyebrows – please, please, please go do it.

May 23rd, 2010Personalized Lunchbag

You know when I was a kid – i used to envy my friends – you see i come from a convent school – and those kids – they are RICH !! with a capital R.   I mean they were kids who won’t even  sell books that they don’t use anymore to the next year’s students – you know poor students like us.   So when I was working hard and climbing the corporate ladder – i told myself – i was gonna buy all the nicest things for my own kids.

But alas, with working so much – i never found anyone whom i wanted to have babies with  – I finally did at 39 and with this chiild – I cannot help but want to buy nice things for her.  I don’t think she knows about it at all – except that they are pink -well – anything pink to her is great.

Anyhow, I found these personalized gift store for kids – where you can even personalized their lunch bags and water bottles – but most importantly – they do international mailing.   I’ve always loved the stylish personalized things – to make you and your things stand out – but at $30 for a lunch bag – i wonder if it is that appealing to the massive.  I know some mothers would buy just about anything for their kids – now if i was in Australia – that would be a different story because shipping isn’t as bad – but i’m very tempted – haha! what about you ?  would you pay $30 for a lunch box + shipping?

May 20th, 2010Lingerie

So they said that to keep your marriage alive  – and the love going – one has got to do some work – but does wearing a lingerie need to be for your spouse/man?  I beg to differ – every woman should make themselves feel good before making other people feel good.  I know, I know – you are going to ask me – but who is going to look at my beautiful lingerie and corsets if I’m not showing them off to the spouse.  But does one need to show them off to someone?  what about the single gals?  are you saying that the single gals cannot buy lingerie or corsets?

Don’t get me wrong – it’s good to wanna dress up for the spouse and keep the relationship on fire all the time – I’m all for it – but buying lingerie shouldn’t be just for someone else.  Treat yourself and make sure you have a closet full of lingerie – all gals – whatever age you are – should look and feel good.  I love the one in the picture – so me!!!

May 18th, 2010Hobo Bag From Roots

Yes! we were up in the city !! woohoo!  and yes ! this trip was really fruitful.   I haven’t bought anything from Roots before – truth be told – i’m a all LV gal or a Gucci gal.  Ask me about the latest from LV and I’ll tell you what I like about each bag – not that i buy them often now – mind you – when i now shop at places like best buy mostly – because the man is into the geeky stuff and electronics.

So this trip up the city – i chance upon Roots – and actually it was this hobo bag that caught my eye.  It finally dawned on me that I liked this one because it looked like the one that i already have but the zippers broke on me a few months ago.  But this one is a bigger version of the one I already have – mine was like $100+ – like 15 yrs ago.   This Hobo bag has got good ravings and the leather was kinda soft but i hear it gets softer as it grows older.  At $248 + tax – it was nearly $300 that i had to think for another night.  The New Large Hobo is made in Canada from 100% Italian leather. The main compartment includes a top zipper closure. The exterior has one zipper pocket, perfect for your cell phone or MP3 player! Inside you’ll find another zipper pocket and a two-compartment slip pocket.

My best friend swears by this organic bath soap and her weight loss products – so we were out shopping the other day and thought i would also give it a try.  This organic bath soap is aromatic and 100% all soy wax is used for ingredients and there are essential oils, herbs and it comes in a silk sachet.   Alrready relaxing enough for anyone plus they have  marigold flowers and chamomile leaves scented with orange flower water.  Munio Candela organic soap is made from only 100% USDA certified organic oils and is colored with organic herbs and plant extracts.  The organic soap is glycerin-based and never contains synthetic fragrances, colorants, preservatives, alcohol or parabens. It is safe for every member of the family and leaves the skin clean, calm and comfortable.

May 13th, 2010Shooting Star Ring

Want a fun ring that don’t cost a lot yet looks pretty unique?  now you can with this shooting star ring that I found on MoMa Store.   Actually i was reading about hydroxycut when i came across this ring from another blog – now what a good find eh for only $12.   Why is it unique?  Four arched rare-earth magnets come together to form this ring. The star is also magnetic and provides the wearer with multiple opportunities to play with the pieces.

May 11th, 2010Pigmentation

I had very bad pigmentation on one side of my face before coming to the West – i am wondering if it is the hot sun there that did that to my face – because after so many years here in the West with the different season – my pigmentation isn’t that bad anymore.  But having said that – living in the east actually didn’t see a need for me to get the best fat burner while here in the West – I’ve put on so much weight – it’s not even funny.

But yes – my esthetician always frown before when she does my face every month.   Anyhow – i did a little research on pigmentation and it seems like i am right – that if you are exposed to sunlight for a long period of time – your skin gets inflamed thus causes pigmentation.  So to prevent pigmentation – i heard that a good sunscreen is definitely a plus.  Therefore, my kid don’t go anywheres without her sunscreen.

May 9th, 2010Mother’s Day Gift

This must be one of my best finds  - for just about any occasion for a friend or a relative – as long as they love cooking.  And how lucky that i chance upon it while helping my best friend with her  wedding programs.  One can now keep your favorite recipes in style and very handy too.   Galison’s Kitchen Collage Recipe Box  is a gift everyone would love and a thoughtful gift.   Lorena Siminovich’s colorful collages of food and kitchen tools are applied to a matte laminated sturdy cardboard box with a hinged lid.   The red “MY FAVORITE RECIPES” tells it all: organize your favorites on 4 x 6″ two-sided recipe cards divided into food groups with colorful glossy tabs. Looks great next to the toaster!  At $15 – you can’t go wrong.

May 6th, 2010Please Mum

I used my epson receipt printer to print out the coupon for the 50% discount from Please Mum, a place where I spend money every week for my kids’ clothing.   I even go online to buy presents for my friends’ kids who lived in the States and different parts of Canada – whenever there is a birthday or any special occasion.  But alas, today while checking out the affliates for Please Mum – while updating my blogs – i foundout that Please Mum declined my application for affiliates.   I don’t know why and wanted to check with the advertiser but there was no contact thru’ my affiliates – anyhow – I guess – i wouldn’t be buying from Please Mum anymore because I have affiliates from Baby Gap and  other kid’s store – if my blogs ain’t good enough for Please Mum – then I won’t be spending money on Please Mum every week.
