So I went for another facial because the girlfriend that i had booked for the session didn’t want to go – but as soon as i went in – i found out that they had the same promotion next month *sigh* – had i known i wouldn’t have gone again so quickly. Oh well – what can you do. I went in a hurry this time – and that was a few days ago – but yesterday – i found that my skin was kinda blotchy – kinda dry – a wee bit worried now.
So what would you do ? do you call your esthetician and inform her about it? will she get offended? what can she do about it? will you go back to her again? I’ve slapped on more cream than usual today – so i’ll wait a few days and see how it goes – in the meantime – i’m gonna sign up for a sauna session for the next 1 month and see if i can get rid of some toxins.
So we received some holiday invitations for the summer – and one of them was from our local spa – inviting us for a facial at 50% off their regular price for the month of July. But the catch ? only on Fridays – and how can i miss out on half price facials right? So i quickly called for an appointment – just in case the spaces are filled – and got into it a few weeks ago – but I also made another for the end of the month – so that i can take full advantage of the facial – greedy much ? hahha!!!
So how did the facial go? I went for the Signature Facial – at its original price it was $80 but since it’s only half price I paid $40 + taxes. The signature facial is customized specially for the individual and because i needed deep cleansing – it was also included in the facial. The esthetician was informed that i had anxiety problem if i was laid flat too long – so she tried to raise me up during masking time and i truly appreciate it. I had a wonderful facial – but more massage would be welcome – but never mind – come end of this month – i’m going for another – to pamper myself – i can’t wait ! Love summer invitations like these don’t you?
Some things you can’t go cheap – just like the pearls that I’ve had for the longest time. Why did i choose Mikimoto every asked me – since other brand of pearls are just as good. I chose Mikimoto because my grandmother used to buy from them – and they are all over the world and are guaranteed for life. I love my jewellery simple too and even though they are very expensive – i think it’s worth it because my mikimoto traveled with me all over the world. When i was younger – i thought it made me look more elegant but now i know that a Mikimoto is for any ages – even my daughter who is only 6.5 yrs old is making claim on it already. Do you like pearls? if you do – when did you start buying them?
Yay!! summer is really here!! it had been so hot and if you know the part of Canada I am in – you know that I don’t get to dress up this way very often. Ahhh! nice to be out wearing sandals even if it was just to run some errands. This outfit was what i had brought along from home some 10 yrs ago but never got around to wearing them. As much as I like shopping – i can’t really find the things i like here these days – i shop online a lot – what about you?
Found them online like i said – and since my friends here was so interested – i showed them where they can get it – at Walters. I don’t usually wear grey unless they are for office wear but this summer outfit seems cool enough don’t you think. So grey can be fun too gals – check it out yourself.
The kid was having fun with some maglite led flashlights one day and was checking out my skin and said this to me – “mummy!! you have wrinkles!” I replied – “Thank you very much, kiddo!” haha! Anyhow, i really needed a moisturizing cream – so while we were out at Walmart – i decided to check in on some – you see i normally buy only from Lancome, Kose or Body Shop.
I saw the Aveeno brand on sale and decided to check it out. This is called the positively ageless daily moisturizer with SPF 30. I like both the ageless for wrinkles and the SPF part – because it had been a really hot summer so far. Say to help protect the skin from signs of aging and it is supposed to lift and firm the skin. And at 45 – you and I know I certainly need it. I haven’t tried it yet but i mostly will let you know when i try it tonite – i’m quite excited to try anything new – but if you have sensitive skin – don’t be so gung-ho like me eh.
A few months ago, my girlfriend from Malaysia sent me some Bodyshop gifts and a book on quick weight loss during my birthday and I had kept it till yesterday to try the Deep Sleep Soothing Shower. I kept them till now because they were so expensive – these 2 presents cost my girlfriend like $50 cdn! more than i would have spent on myself – so i am grateful and also want to keep them for special occasion.
I was tired and agitated yesterday – so decided to open it and give it a try. The smell was like citrusy and it was supposed to calm the body and soothe all tiredness away. I used very little of it – and it didn’t take much to lather. Easy to wash off and don’t leave you with a greasy feeling. I don’t know if i am tired or if it worked so well that it helped me sleep immediately but restorative night’s sleep – hmmm.. not really -i had bad dreams all night hahah! But overall, i do like it but i won’t pay so much for a shower gel. I thank my girlfriend for being so generous – so i will only use it when i really need it.
I never thought i would say this – but retail therapy can help you feel better – haha! My girlfriends had always talked about retail therapy and how a little retail therapy can soothe their day – even if it was just to buy phentermine they had joked all the time and i really never though much about it till last weekend. What happened last weekend..?? well – i was mighty stressed because my best laid plan for a pedicure was canceled because the outlaws refused to take the kids for the day.
So i went shopping – had some retail therapy – and it did wonders for me. So for those who don’t believe in retail therapy – you gotta believe me when i say it does wonders! I didn’t buy a lot and whatever i bought was online – they were on sale and it definitely felt really good after splurging on myself.
So you all know that I had my hair colored a few days ago – and i had rushed off because it took like almost 2 hrs if i was not wrong – and the stylist was busy too – she had people coming in. Anyhow – i knew i had to get something for the color – since this time unlike the last one – i had it done a lot more visible and a lot more coloring. So after reading about the side effects of diet pills for my niece - a few days later – i had gone over to get this.
Supposedly, not so expensive – it comes with a conditioner and fruity in smell – this is a color treatment shampoo that replenishes strength, elasticity and shine by restoring protein and moisture depleted by coloring and chemical processing. I tried it yesterday and it was light with very low PH formula that is said to seal the cuticle to lock in the moisture and protien in colored and chemically treated hair. So far i feel ok - my hair feels ok – and even though it was $22 – I think it was money well – spent.
I don’t know how many shoes you have but if you are anything like myself – you will love these Benji clear shoe boxes that are currently on sale. Actually, i didn’t find out myself but i was reading extenze which one of the guy friend showed me – the other day and he was the person telling me about it about this clear shoe boxes.
I found it a bit expensive even though they are on sale for $149 but if you have like so many shoes and want to keep them in good shape – then go for the boxes – because they are compact and clear as seen here. I really might buy them if i had as much shoes as I did back home – but for now, I’m going to keep it in my “to get list” for Christmas.
