I went to get my eyebrows and upper lips waxed the other day and when I was paying for it – the receptionist gave me the credit card slip and reminded me that I can write in the tip if i wanted to. I don’t usually tip my hairdresser or beautician – what about you? what is the regular etiquette about tipping for your esthethician anyways? So i looked around and asked around and apparently tipping is a must – but my haircut and waxing is really expensive here in this town – so must I tip still? I hate to part with more money than I should – but I guess it is nice to tip – so next time I think I should tip? what say you?
Woke up this morning with some wrinkles – I’m guessing it’s because I’m not getting enough rest and that anti-aging cream I am using isn’t really helping much either. Some people said Asian skin don’t get wrinkles but it’s not true – at 45 – you get wrinkles like it or not. Now to find some wrinkle creams that really work now that’s the part you have to work on. I thought that all wrinkle creams were the same – till i read more about it – after buying some – that didn’t work. So I stopped buying them – because I didn’t want to spend more money on something that didn’t work right? But if I find something that really works – I don’t really care how much I need to spend on my wrinkle creams – I will keep buying them – I know that not all my wrinkles will disappear but at least I know it will help lighten it or make it less visible.
I’m pretty sure you all know how much I support Etsy – the place where everything is made with hand and love. I was actually looking for Christmas presents for friends and family – when I saw a custom made handbag with real genuine cow leather at very reasonable price. But you see – I didn’t want a bag – that looks like that – I prefer something simpler.
A handbag that looks like that but with genuine letter – not some synthetic ones – which I can buy from anywhere. So I contacted the seller and asked if she could do something similar but not exactly like the above handbag – and after going back and forth for a day or two – we finally decided to use the first picture material and the shape of my shoulder bag like the 2nd picture. It takes about 20 days – for the handbag to be ready and since the seller is in Canada – I figured it wouldn’t cost that much to mail it to me – I can’t wait for the finish work. I hate buying mass produced handbags.
I have been having a cold for a few days now – and not really getting enough rest – coz’ i keep waking up to sneeze or blow my nose. On top of it – the spouse is also down with the same cold – so we think – so you can see why I have dark eye circles and luggages under my eyes now. You really don’t want to see how I look right now – but it’s bad – so if anyone out there who has some grandmother tricks or remedies for treating dark eye circles really quickly and painlessly – please, please let me know. I could use any help just about now – i have a parent and teacher meet tomorrow!
The spouse and I had been married for a long time – you know people say familiarity breeds contempt? I don’t think ours is this way – but I know and seen a lot of old marriages and old couples being so contented and they kinda forget why they fell in love and got married and have their first kids. The spouse and I are sometimes this way – and when you are 45 – certain things don’t seems so important to you? but to the spouse – well – it’s probably a different story. While we are busy with our kids and our housework we tend to neglect our spouse.
A girlfriend who was having her vows renewed for the 3rd time invited us for a weekend at White Sand – a few hours away from where we were and it was a really fun weekend. We talked about male enhancement , we talked about why we got married – where we were with our spouse today. And we talked about mostly how we can enhance our relationship – and how both parties must continuously keep the romance going – from date nights to movie nights or just a night of doing nothing but talking with each other.
The weekend – set us good friends thinking – new and old marriages needed to be worked on – doing something special sometimes for the spouse is so important. Taking care of the spouse’s need is also very important – listening is important. Old marriages New Sparks – how I missed those days when my heart would beat just thinking of talking with him. What about you? how can we bring back that feeling?
My very first perfume that i bought was Shiseido, Zen . .that must have been like 25 yrs ago. The reason why i bought this was because my then b/f’s best friend liked this gal from the Shiseido counter and i’ll have to say that that gal was quite pretty. Dexter was the name of the ex-b/f’s buddy.. and the name of the gal..?? i can’t remember .. but anyways.. we both liked it.. and i think he used it more than I. This Classic Zen Eau de Parfum Pure Mist is at $20.00, affordable. I’m going to order it.. and see if i feel the same as i did 25 yrs ago.
Received an email from Swaroski Crystal this morning and like always – I had to take a look at it and found this Manhattan Ring that I love very much. I wished more online store were like Swarovski Crystal – because they are easy to find online even if you have their spelling of their store wrong – they still appear online – on search engines. I bet they use directory submit that helps them more visible online and get them index correctly. Many like myself – if we don’t remember a website – and can’t find it after a few tries – just gives up and that means the online store loses out. So if you do have an online store and wants to be found – you have to make sure we can find you eh. Else it can be quite disappointing – plus who have the time to keep typing different names to find something online – and we move to the next best thing.
Cute or what? saw it at the window of a downtown local store while going to the bank today – and it said it was 20% off too. But this is more like a spring bag – like it said it was but you and I know that we don’t get a lot of spring. So tomorrow – i’m going to check it out and see if it is worth buying. I haven’t bought a Lacoste for so long – and had i not seen it in the window of that local store – i would’ve completely forgotten about this brand altogether. Wish me luck tomorrow !

So you are home with your kids but you don’t feel like wearing your jeans – since you are just going to do some housework and hang out with the kids and the spouse. Do you stay in your PJs? most people do – now that’s a huge mistake no? i mean really? do you wanna see your spouse walking around in his boxers all day? Think about it? My solution? a tee jamas – as soon as I saw one some 16 years ago – at Marks & Spencer – i never turned back – what better way to lounge around the house in your tee-jamas. You don’t really need to spend a lot – just a fashionable tee – that you can wear around the house – but not for sleeping eh – and a decent jammie pants – i think it is sexy enough – what do you think? This one is from Victoria’s Secret though – but you get the idea right.
