So I saw a launch by some actress in Hong Kong for Clinique’s Dark Spot Corrector and am dying to try it. I saw a u-tube presentation by the above – and she said she wasn’t really thrilled thus far about the result but haven’t yet seen any more updates about it. For those who’ve tried this – please leave a comment – for a $48 is not really as cheap and aging gracefully and beautifully is my aim. So if it helps with dark spots I wanna buy it – but if it doesn’t I don’t want to waste my time.
Beauty and Health goes hand in hand and for many people – they think that woman who goes to spa does it because they want to look beautiful – but truth be told it’s because we want to be healthy as well. Why massages, saunas and Reiki and hair do etc? well, it’s because massage are good for blood circulation and sauna is good for ridding toxins in your body and Reiki is supposed to balance your body as well. My massage therapists are so professional – they have this PC based ekg machine that they used on high blood pressure customers before they massage them or before they go into a sauna and steam room. Yes ! very high tech if you don’t know by now – they really invest in the health of their customers and not just a place to make you look beautiful. The PC based ekg is something that is affordable even for ordinary people like you and I – but for hotel’s clinic as well. I used to work in the hotel industry where 500 employees were the norm – so the clinic as this PC based ekg machine to help with looking after their empl0yees as well. Therefore, i’m familiar with the PC based ekg machine when I see one – I’m impressed with my massage therapist – and glad that she invested in one – because it sure made me feel a lot safer everytime I go for my massage.
Last year, we had attended a bridal show up in Toronto – and this year we are planning on going for another one. Not because I am getting married again – but because it’s fun to go on a road trip with my girlfriends. One of them has a RV and we don’t even need to be driving because her spouse will be doing the driving. It’s nice to have an RV and of course a 5th wheel insurance that goes with it – and we girls are so lucky to have a friend’s spouse who would drive us up to Toronto once a year. We get to eat, shop and watch the bridal show and come home with a lot of photos for my friend’s bridal shop here in town. We get treated so well during the event, champagne, mini sandwiches and all sorts of fruit tarts that you can eat. I love the make over too – and the tips we pick up from the bridal show and all the new product samples that we get. All our money we bring are spent on ourselves – we don’t have to pay for gas for the RV or hotels – pretty awesome trip.
Yes! I can’t get enough of the winter boots as you an see – so I’m getting a little more adventurous and trying out winter boots with heels. Of course, the spouse doesn’t think it is a good idea – but if you never try, you never know eh. And this is a winter boots from Payless but it’s not cheap either – about $145 but it’s very comfy – I loved it – wait till i get a chance to go out and walk with it. A woman can’t have enough boots right? I think the spouse needs to make room for my shoes and boots in the basement really soon.
Well, I finally got to see the Hello Kitty bra that Edison Chen bought for Cammi Tse – the 16 yrs old model. Which makes me wonder if the boy has bad taste or was this chose by CAmmi herself. Cammi who admitted last month that she lost her virginity to Edison – was given this as a gift to post in sexy pictures for him. Now I wonder what the 31 yrs old man was thinking to be honest with you. Would any one really wear a bra that looks so hideous?
I love Hello Kitty – don’t get me wrong – but the one that Edison bought – yaks!
I wanted to get the t-max brand insulated vest this year – for winter because it would go well with my t-max insulated jacket I had bought last year. I wished they had this color for the jacket but mine is gray/black in color. The only reason why I loved the t-max is because it is so light – yet keeps you really warm. Unlike the bulky winter wear I’m used to when I first came to Canada – this brand of winter clothing I highly recommend. I told the spouse – I’m all set this winter – with a t-max insulated vest and a jacket. I know it’s a lot more than your usual vest – but it was worth every penny that I had spend on it.
Yes! I’m a little crazy about hats and cannot resist it – even though it is not the season for hats – I still bought this from Mark’s Wearhouse when I went to get a vest for the winter. And they weren’t even on sale – but definitely cheaper than the ones I bought from Etsy. So the spouse said to me – so your Etsy hat isn’t as exclusive as you think it was eh. Oh well – it is shaped like the one from Etsy but not the same because this is not hand sewn but machine sewn and at $15 – i think it’s a steal.
While I can afford to buy some Hermes for myself – I just don’t dare to splurge because they are darn expensive – but that doesn’t mean that I cannot be happy for my girlfriends who care to pamper themselves with a few gifts every couple of months. I would love some Hermes but I know that only people in Asia can or will know how to appreciate it – so even if I do get it and wear them here – no one will care to comment. But I sure know how to appreciate a good thing when I do see one – and Hermes is a brand that will never go out of fashion – so it’s not just fashion – it’s an investment. I bet whoever becomes the daughter-in-law of my girlfriends – will be darn lucky – because they would surely inherit all these expensive gifts.
I asked my girlfriend who is an expert with skin care about skin care for kids – after all I want to keep my kid’s skin healthy and soft right? and with winter here – I have to be a lot more vigilant with her skin. So I was told by my girlfriend that using a mild organic cleanser for her skin is a good thing and that sunscreen is a must even in winter. And moisturizing their skin is a must because of the hard winter wind. So she said to try either Earth’s Best, California Baby, Badger Balm, Dr Bronner, or Earth Mama Angel Baby Organics and anything that has the USDA label.
The California Baby Calendula Everyday lotion may be the one I am getting since I found it online and can order them from online – but I will check with the local mall and see if they too have it. Thus far, I have been using Aveeno and Johnson’s baby lotion but since she is already 8 yrs old – I thought maybe she needs something stronger? Do not use those that are stated for adults because they will be too strong for your kid’s face/skin.
I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised about upcycle jewelry right? since I wear an upcycle hat like my daughter does. This upcycle necklaces are made out of wine and beer bottles – pretty unique right? I do like it – looks like jade at first to me – but they are not. Simple yet sweet – and rustic looking with copper chain. $28 only – from BottleHood. I would love to buy one – but I’m allergic to anything but gold
