Bridal parties are so fun and I had the privileged of organizing one for my bestie not too long ago – and I was asked to do it for another friend next week. I’ve decided on a spa party – since it would not only be fun – it was something we all needed before the wedding. From pedicure to manicure and a facial – we were all ready to go – except for some special music for the party. But no worries, the spouse has a tascam cd-rw900sl that can burn whatever songs we need – and mix the cd for us from our original cd or the ones we bought from iTunes.
The bridal party is like 3 days before the wedding – because I want to make sure that the bride and the rest of the bridesmaids and maid of honor have time to rest and relax before the big day. I ordered some champagne and wine from Annapolis Valley and Lunenburg and the rest will be taken care of by the spa. Our local spa will be semi closed during the evening to give the party of 6 a spa manicure and pedicure – but the bride gets a facial and a body scrub with steam bath. Now if the rest of the girls want extra stuff done – they can of course – but they are paying for it themselves. There will be finger sandwiches and a salad and lots of fruits and sparkling water during the bridal party. No, no strippers – hahahha!
Well, I finally got to see the Hello Kitty bra that Edison Chen bought for Cammi Tse – the 16 yrs old model. Which makes me wonder if the boy has bad taste or was this chose by CAmmi herself. Cammi who admitted last month that she lost her virginity to Edison – was given this as a gift to post in sexy pictures for him. Now I wonder what the 31 yrs old man was thinking to be honest with you. Would any one really wear a bra that looks so hideous?

Saturday can be a very boring evening for me – because I live in a small town and since I don’t drink nor party – I usually go out with my girlfriends for dinner and a show – and land home pretty early. A few of us girls got together and had high tea at a local restaurant in town – because they had invited a special guest who plays the guitar – classical guitar actually – and we thought it would be a nice Saturday afternoon where we can sit and chat and of course relax. You can also request for songs on the guitar from the musician – who happened to be someone that we were quite thrilled to have – because we’ve heard him play during the Seafest this year. Now after listening to him play – we all wished we could play like him as well. Classical guitar can be so calming – don’t you think but if one really wanted to pick up guitar lessons – you can do so on the web now – pretty awesome if you ask me. The musician did some classical rock as well and i love his finger style – so amazing! Actually we are all so inspired by the afternoon tea with classical music – I think some of us – might just pick up some songs.
So we were up in the city for a few days – and boy! did i learned something new – you see the spouse just started using his iPhone touch for a gps system and we managed to zoom about everywhere in the city – at the shortest time instead of going round and round finding a spot. With the data plan that he had gotten for our trip – it was worth it because I noticed so much savings on gas as well. No wonder people are so fond of tablet computers these days – and instead of using their notebooks and laptops – the tablets acts as a laptop and netbook but with a data plan that lets you access to the internet from anywhere their is a phone signal – it’s definitely so much more simpler and easier. The spouse with his iPhone touch – was able to read his facebook messages – answer his email and even got onto msn chatline. So I’m not only impressed and intrigue – this unsloppy wife is going to get herself a tablet too – woohoo! The blackberry playbook seems to be a nice one – but there are many options – so I’m going to look around and compare them before getting them.
Summer is round the corner and I had asked the spouse to transfer some of my exercise equipment into the basement for it is too hot to exercise in the tv room. But he also needed to get some audio video cables so that I can play my aerobics dvd in the basement and do some aerobic or step aerobics. I love a man who knows all about cables or moving things around, I used to know someone who don’t even know how to tune his own VCR – what a shame eh. But if you asked me – I wouldn’t know one cable from another – but I’m a woman – so it’s alright. Shopping for accessories and clothing and even household items I’m the best at it – but when it comes to anything electronic – I leave it to the man.
I love beautiful things but more so quality stuff – my mother used to say – that you get what you pay for. I was just telling the spouse this morning – that I know why we pay more for certain plastic tupperware because the good ones is just so easy to clean and don’t leave a stain inside it when you leave soup stock in them. Just like the le creuset beautiful outside and great to cook with – expensive of course but also warrantied for life of the original owner. But yes! if you love beautiful things – you will understand why paying every penny on the le creuset is worth it, in fact I’m so proud of it – I use it every chance I get. I’m such a show off – when I know I have something good.
While I mostly get gadgets for the boys – this year – my nieces are asking for a htc sense – I’m sure you wonder what it is too? I too asked the same question hahah! so don’t feel bad. Looks like a boy’s phone eh – but nope according to the nieces – it’s a girl’s phone too. But this smartphone is like a high end gadget right now for them – with blue tooth capabilities and all. One can even watch movies and you tube on it – so I’m also assuming you can browse the web and go check your emails? and Facebook as well? The screen is quite big for a phone and I like the keyboard which are good enough for a boy too. Yes! girls love their gadgets too!
