Tinting one’s eyelashes isn’t expensive at all – but what does tinting of your eyelashes do for you?  especially if you have short eyelashes like mine?  will it make it longer and more prominent?  your guess is as good as mine – so i’m making an appointment with my esthetician and go try it out and let you know – stay tune.  In the meantime, if you are thinking of doing the same thing – here’s a video I found on youtube that may give you an idea about eyelash tinting.  I have been told that you can do it on your own – but if you have the money – then you should let the professionals do it for the first time at least.

Now at first I thought it was some wrinkle stick for your eye bags but I was wrong – it’s like a concealer – a treatment concealer that’s what they are saying and it erases crease and under eye puffiness and dark circles.  I was hoping that it’s more like a cream – but it’s not as you can see – and with sponge like this – wouldn’t it just clog up after using it the first time?  It’s not expensive – at $12.99 + tax of course – but I really can’t see the benefit of just a concealer – so for now – I’m just going to wait.

Notice the puffy and saggy eyes lately?  so have I !  you and I know that around our eyes – that skin area is very sensitive and I get white heads all the time there.  And I also noticed that when you apply eye makeups – the area surrounding your eyes well – lets just say it turns black in color.  As time goes by – you will noticed that you not only get dark looking eyes like a panda – you also get wrinkles and sagging around the eyes – kinda horrid looking if you asked me.  Some people age beautiful – but most people don’t but more importantly is it is not too late to take care of yourself and those pufffy and saggy eyes.

For the longest time, I too make the same mistake as a lot of people by using moisturizing cream that i used on my face around the eye area – but I was wrong – so I was told by my esthetician – coz’ the eyes area is very different from the rest of your face.  Around the eye area – one has to use a very light cream because you cannot use an oily cream for that area – else you will be like me – causing more distress around the eye area.  I was told that the creams are for the wrinkles for the eyes and the gels are for puffy eyes and tired eyes.   For the dark circles – use a gel – so when you are buying something from the cosmetic counter – make sure you get recommended the right thing – don’t fall into a sales trap.

I have been having a cold for a few days now – and not really getting enough rest – coz’ i keep waking up to sneeze or blow my nose.  On top of it – the spouse is also down with the same cold – so we think – so you can see why I have dark eye circles and luggages under my eyes now.  You really don’t want to see how I look right now – but it’s bad – so if anyone out there who has some grandmother tricks or remedies for treating dark eye circles really quickly and painlessly – please, please let me know.   I could use any help just about now – i have a parent and teacher meet tomorrow!

So I went to get a haircut the other day with my daughter and the hairstylist was flooded with calls – with people who needed to sugar their eyebrows.  Now that raised my eyebrows too – I am used to waxing my eyebrows – so i asked her what’s the difference?  I heard of the stripless waxing – that was something new to me a year ago now when another esthetician recommended it to me.  So anyhow – this is what i learned and it is pretty interesting – because according to my hairstylist the ingredient is so easy – you can actually do it yourself – the sugaring i mean.  But i would never attempt it myself – because i’m so bad at doing my eyebrows on my own – and i wouldn’t wanna mess up and look horrid – hahah!!

So this is what i learned – the technique of sugaring is from Arabic culture and they have been sugaring for centuries.   This technique is said to smooth the skin and make one more beautiful.  Sugar wax is a thick, syrupy compound. Many people relate its appearance to honey or soft caramel. Like these sweet substances it is compared to, sugar wax is also extremely gooey and sticky. This makes it easy to apply, and is what causes it to remove hair nicely, as it clings to individual hairs very well. The concoction is also water soluble, which means that, unlike other waxes used to remove hair, it washes away easily with plain water.

Waxing can get very expensive but DIY can be time consuming and plus one can’t really do it properly if you are like me short-sighted.  So this month I had to hold off my  Cole Haan that i had been eyeing on and get my upper lips and eyebrows done.  Well, with the eyebrows you can still do it yourself.. if you are diligent enough and do it every couple of days to keep them tamed but the upper lips part no matter what i use, it still has that faint black patch on it that makes my skin tone looks different and sure makes me look a lot like a man with a mustache – I can’t stand that!  And how can one feel good about oneself when you don’t feel confident right?   So yes, I’m $20 poorer today – boo hoo!

For $14.99 – it’s worth trying i told myself and woman my age – 45 soon – must learn to take time and take care of not only their skin or  how to lose weight fast but to give attention to every part of their body and health too – that goes without saying.

So my g/fs are anxious to know what i think of this Garnier Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Eye Contour Cream -  well, it’s perfume free it said.. and it’s made from natural ingredients … and this cream is supposedly to firm up your skin and reduces wrinkles and supposedly help skin to revitalize to its natural condition.

Well, i used it for a week – and am pleased to report that it is not so greasy to use – and even though .. i donch have wrinkles yet around my eyes.. i feel that it has tighten my skin a little.  I am gonna continue using it – since only a small amount is required.  Prevention is always better than cure – i would say.

For someone who had worn eye glasses almost all her life, you can imagine how important it is to get not only the right one.. but a fashionable one right..?? When i was a kid.. it really didn’t matter how the frames or lens looked like .. as long as it is functionable. But these days.. even for the kids.. it had to be light, it had to be the thinnest lens.. it had to be pretty. And you know what..?? some frames and glasses can get so expensive.. more expensive than the breeches that we buy for our horses.

But who can resist a designer brand frame..??  the opitician that I went to the other week.. had a full range of Dolce and Gabana frames.. and Gucci.. and more.  The other one that i went to .. did not have designer brands.. but they were still pretty ex.
