Bento Bags In Nova Scotia

While the spouse don’t mind using plastic bags for everything he needs to carry – I on the other hand needs special carrier for everything I need to bring a long with me. Whether it is for potluck – or just a tupperware for my kid’s lunch and in this case – a some bento set for a test lunch for her teacher – I wanted a nice bento carrier. Since I’m in Canada – it’s hard to find anything Japanese here – and also I hate paying for shipping. So when I found a store in Halifax that sells genuine Japanese items – of course, I have to patronize them. The ikebana shop in Halifax not only teaches one flower arrangement – but they have an assortment of Japanese things and the bento bags were one of them.

The bento bags were at $5.50 each and they are made out of kimono material from Japan – but in Canada – you need to pay HST – but I guess that’s alright. Shipping from Halifax to where I am living wasn’t too bad – only $2 – so it was definitely worth buying. I loved my bento bags – now I can carry food – as gift with these bags instead of ugly looking plastic bags.

Steam Shower At Home

I went for a housewarming recently and saw something that really perked my interest totally – for both health and beauty reasons – so I had asked my friend if it was affordable to have a stream shower at home – and this was what i learned. I had tried the infrared sauna before and had thought about buying one for home – but I didn’t sweat as much as I would have loved to – so the steam room is said to operate differently. The steam room opens one pores and ease your breathing quickly and like the sauna – it will make you sweat – and for someone like me who doesn’t exercise much. The steam room uses a generator to heat water and disperse it in the air creating 100% humidity but at a much lower temperature than a hot rock sauna. Now how easy is it to install a steam shower? do I need metal hose for the water part? I will need to talk to an electrician and a plumber I think - hopefully, it won’t be so expensive to hire them on. But if it is for good health – I think it is worth it. To buy a steam shower like the one above – it will be like $5K – expensive that’s for sure – as compared to a infrared sauna – but if everyone in the family can use it – then it’s really not that ex.

The Perfect Hat

The weather is so cold here – even in the spring and fall – you need a hat – but I only so far found a hat made of wool from Mark’s Wearhouse. But even then – they had 2 colors – so I only bought one – that was brown in color. But wearing a wool hat in the spring and fall- doesn’t seem fit – and I never thought I would find the perfect hat – but it’s very expensive – from Etsy at $63. *sigh*. But someone may like it – so here is the description of it.

No More Disposable Sleeves

I’m sure at one time or another.. you use those disposable sleeves when you get your coffee or tea right..? i do .. in fact on a everyday basis. And truth be told .. i don’t like it .. because it’s not environmentally friendly. Unlike these medical equipment that my g/f was looking at for her husband’s office., you see he is a doctor and needs stuff like that all the time.

Anyhow, when I saw these cute alternative .. little flower coffee cozy .. i felt i needed to say it with everyone. So super cute right..?This pretty pink coffee cup cozy is hand knit with a gorgeous cable stitch, and features a pair of pretty handmade, black felt flowers. Going Organic

Going organic may be the way .. i may try out soon . .because it is said to be 100% chemical free or harsh chemicals .. and if you know me.. and my skin.. you know i cannot take anything strong nor harsh. Before coming to Canada.. folks tell me that the HongKie gals gets such nice skin because of the 4 seasons they experienced.. but how untrue it is. Because the 4 seasons are so harsh on my skin.. and having to change and adapt my skin care products to suit my skin on the different seasons is darn hard.

They have makeup too.. that is totally organic.. as you can see here. Eye colors.. and Eyeliner pencils.. and even for your lips.

Anyone tried this before..??

Going Trendy But Green Too

Trendy woman needs to go green too. And what better way then to used these really trendy and recycled canvas tote bag .. that you can bring along anywheres.. you go.
