We were invited for an open house recently by our friendly real estate agent – whom we had bought our home from – 7 years ago. The spouse knowing that I love looking at new real estate – went along with me – to see if there was a business opportunity here – an investment for an income home. This was only for the first phase – and we hear that the second phase home comes with steel storm shelters in all the new house and I was quite intrigue by it.
I asked the developer why he thought a storm shelter was necessary in the second phase homes – and he mentioned that we have been getting bad storms of late – and every year they seems to get even worst. So the second phase homes are a new try out with the storm shelters – for those very bad storm and hurricanes. He mentioned that in the city – about 4 hrs away from us – most of his properties has storm shelters now – after Hurricane Juan hit us some years ago. Interesting right? I never thought of a storm shelter for the hurricane and the bad storm we have had here – now we might consider building one for our current home.
Yes! i love to go to open house just for that reason – you never know what you will learn and pick up. Every year – the developers – come up with something new and useful – I also picked up lots of interior decoration designing tips when I go for these open houses.
I never used to be a coupon girl – but ever since coming to Canada and watching this amazing tv show - a real show – about how this woman saved so much money on her groceries – it just inspired me to look out for coupons and discount whenever I think of buying anything especially big items. So if you are looking to buy something from Sears – here are some sears coupons for everyone ! We bought our bed frame – our washing machine and dryer from Sears – with discount coupons and we did save a lot of money – I tell you! a front loading washing machine and dryer for less than $1000! woohoo! very good deal indeed! Love coupons and any kind of discount I can find!
We were in the city a month ago – and saw this nice comforter and sheets – and we just had to get it for my daughter – because they were so pretty. And guess what – ??? they were not expensive at all – less than $50 – and the kid loves it – so even though it was a huge bundle to bring home- we lugged it along. I would have preferred all pink – but alas – they didn’t have any just all pink – but I guess this is what they called pastel color – so this will just have to do for now.
We were up in the city last week and had the opportunity to visit a spa in the city and spend a day there with my friends who moved there. It was a good to see them again and it was very relaxing without any of our children with us that day. The beau had taken the kid for a swim in the hotel – to amuse them. The spa was quite different from the one at home and I especially liked the laminate floor that they used because I had been thinking of putting laminates down for my basement floors too. I honestly feel that they are so much easier to clean and mop and at the end of the day – they are better for the beau who has asthma. I love my carpet during the winters but it irks me that I cannot shampoo it as often as I would like.
They have a corner for people who wants to learn how to do their make up better or a spa party. We had a steam bath, an aromatherapy massage and a pedicure that day – the package came with a light lunch and some green tea. What I liked most was that the massage bed had heated beds – and it was really nice. Like all my spa treatment – I’m a bit shy having to disrobe in front of another woman – and massages makes me wanna just totally forget about the world – and not chat – but when you go with your girlfriends – well – you know what chatterbox we can be. The estheticians were very helpful – and even provided with me information for my interest on the laminate floors. The package cost us about $175 + taxes and of course we tipped 15% as well.
We received the best flowers as a present from a friend from afar – and of course this lovely deck the hall tree! I just have to share this with everyone – so that you know how much I love this tree and lovely flowers. Flowers and festive trees like this one – are such excellent gifts for friends and loved ones during Christmas and all those special occasion – and even though I tell the spouse I don’t want flowers because they are expensive – it would be nice to receive them every now and then. And if I can have a tree like this every year – I would be the happiest person during Christmas – everyone who’ve been to our home – sang so much praises about this deck the hall tree.
The spouse and I had recently stayed up in the city in a hotel – and they had such a unique bathroom – a retro one – if I have to describe it – with glass tile on the wall. Many years ago – before coming to Canada – I had almost the same kind of bathroom – and I really did enjoy the fact that my bathroom was so retro looking. I have not seen a bathroom that had glass tiles on them for a long, long time – therefore, I was most certainly pleasantly surprised. I was telling the spouse – maybe – we could do the same for our bathroom the next time we renovate or move to a new house – that way – we would be the talk of town – hahahha! but yes glass tiles on the bathroom wall is certainly pretty and unique. What do you think?
Every beautiful woman wants a dream bathroom – with awesome looking faucets and lots of space and mirrors but a jacuzzi bathtub would be a plus – if not a bath tub deep enough to immerse your entire body without having to slip yourself deeper than you need to go get entirely soak. My dream bathroom is only for myself – but if I can’t have it for myself – then I would need two sinks – two toilet bowls and a standing shower – not the ones in your bath-tub. My dream bathroom needs to have flattering lightning and definitely a place to do my nails – i must have good soft music. This bathroom – is at a hotel in Asia – and it’s not an ordinary hotel – and as you can see – they used the best furnishing and decor. My home bathroom is smaller – but the next house I buy – I’m going to have my own bathroom in my own bedroom. What about you ?

Desperate to get rid of my blackheads, i had no choice but to visit an esthetician from around here. Although, I am very much in need of patio furniture this summer … more than going for facials, one has no choice – if you want to look presentable right? So how does one find a good esthetician if you haven’t been to one for a long time.
Best is to find out if the esthetician can treat your blackheads thoroughly just in one sessions .. or at least know how many it would take for her to take care of your blackheads. Go in expecting the results you promised as we all know that going for facials can be costly and you don’t want to be disappointed. Ask as many questions as possible before making an appointment to avoid any disappointment. Does it hurt..?? or how long it takes? and how much? how many sessions? etc, etc, etc.
Pages Of Treasures Episode 1 is ready to watch.. not a fashion show.. but definitely worth watching.. as it has to do with the average family like myself. I think i might pick up a trick or two over there. Enjoy.
