While I can afford to buy some Hermes for myself – I just don’t dare to splurge because they are darn expensive – but that doesn’t mean that I cannot be happy for my girlfriends who care to pamper themselves with a few gifts every couple of months. I would love some Hermes but I know that only people in Asia can or will know how to appreciate it – so even if I do get it and wear them here – no one will care to comment. But I sure know how to appreciate a good thing when I do see one – and Hermes is a brand that will never go out of fashion – so it’s not just fashion – it’s an investment. I bet whoever becomes the daughter-in-law of my girlfriends – will be darn lucky – because they would surely inherit all these expensive gifts.
I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised about upcycle jewelry right? since I wear an upcycle hat like my daughter does. This upcycle necklaces are made out of wine and beer bottles – pretty unique right? I do like it – looks like jade at first to me – but they are not. Simple yet sweet – and rustic looking with copper chain. $28 only – from BottleHood. I would love to buy one – but I’m allergic to anything but gold

I’ve always loved Swarovski products and this Christmas – like all Christmases – Swarovski has got a few items that are pretty enticing – like this Intervalle Red Bangle – at only $250 for the thicker bracelet and $180 for the thinner one – I am very tempted to get it. As much as I loved it – I am going to have to wait to try it out before buying it – because it would look nice on the screen – but on me – it may not fit me. My wrist may be too small or big for it – or the color may not be right for my skin. What about you ? are you ever disappointed with buying something online and it doesn’t fit?
I do love how the flower jade look – and even if it isn’t real jade – I can’t tell the difference – it’s alright – if it looks good on me – for $30 + shipping on etsy – I think it’s worth buying. So I ordered it – and waiting for its arrival.

I love the Y shape necklaces – because it makes my neck look longer – but sine I can’t wear costume jewelery like most people – I have to get one that is made of white gold and some crystals. I love the Y-shape necklace – especially if you are wearing a low cut t-shirt or dress – it makes me feel so elegant and not so bare on the upper half of my body.
When my niece came home with something on her promise ring finger – I cannot helped but asked her where she got the ring from – after all – she just turned 16 – a little too young for a promise ring? But yes, it was a promise ring ! should I be shocked or worry for the future of my daughter as well? Love the ring – but wonder if it was the right age to get a promise ring – only to be told by the Cousin that I shouldn’t overreact – after all – she is still young and a promise ring doesn’t mean that she was going to do something that her parents don’t want her to do. Maybe, I’m old fashioned – or maybe I’m just being paranoid – but I’ll have to say it is a nice ring – so I asked my spouse – where was my promise ring when we first started dating? and he rolled his eyes – of course.
A little Tiffany goes a long way – and you don’t need to wait for the spouse to buy you one – go pamper yourself like I did and bought a Tiffany Somerset ring just because. Love it and wearing it.
Saw this on Swaroski website this morning – at only $32 – this bracelet can be used everyday and made of Padparadscha crystal that sparkles. I love the color and the luminous bracelet. Order them online – or you can buy them when you are in the city. I ordered it online.
The spouse’s niece was invited for a masquerade party at the end of the year – by her office friends – and she came over to borrow my tiara and look thru’ some prom dresses that I still had and were kept in good condition. When I was buying my prom dresses – I made sure to choose those that were long lasting in style and those that I can wear on other occasion like a ball – or a party. Even when i was young – I was pretty smart when it comes to buying things. Like the tiara – I had kept it for years after my prom – and now the niece can use it and dress up like a princess. So remember when you buy your next prom dress – choose those that you can wear again and again.
Swarovski has this new ring – and I wanted to get it online – as the jewelry store here do not carry rings in this small lil’ town. But it’s the size that upsets me – because I’m a 7.5 for ring – but the online ring starts at 55. So I wrote to Swarovski – and they came back with a generic answer! *slap forehead* – so without the exact ring size to compare and try – I didn’t even dare order them. What a shame ! now I can’t even buy that lovely ring! bummer!
