Yes! you won’t see me in town this Christmas – we are heading to the South to get some warm and the sun. The hotel we are staying in provides everything – it’s the all inclusive type of vacation but we are not bringing our kids because we are going to be spending a lot of time at the pool.  When she is older we will bring her a long – but if only the hotel had a  pool gate – i bet all my girlfriends would bring their kids with them.  You know when you are on a vacation – you don’t want to be worrying about the kids falling into the pool right?  so we rather be safe than be sorry – our homes have pool gates when our kids were young – so such a big hotel – I would say it would be really nice if they do it with the big people’s pool.  But anyhow – we are heading to the south for the New Year but only 7 days – see you when we come back.

I finally bought my very first Kepp Jones hat from Etsy – and it cost me $ 48.  Handmade from upcycle material – I love the way it sits on the head.  I’ve always had a hat on because of how cold the weather is here – and it’s a great thing to have – when you need to send your kid to school at 8am in the morning.

I’ve read many good reviews about Sparky Jones – and I can’t wait for my hat to arrive.  I had actually wanted a different color one – but i had to settle for this one – since she doesn’t have a brown one – the next time i see a brown one – i’m gonna get it immediately.

So we’ve all heard of sunscreen and suncare and we religiously use them when we are out in the sun – but what about after sun care?  what is after sun care i asked the girl at Lancome counter – so she explained after whipping out her Acer Aspire and showing me the diagram of what the after sun care will do for one’s skin.   You see the After Sun Care from Lancome is supposedly to have a skincare formula to help fight against premature ageing and to reinforce the skin’s natural defences after the sun.  Created specially for the face – the rich lotion, can give your skin the freshness and soothing sensation and rehydrate your skin after the sun.  It cost like $34 but i think it is worth it.  What about you ?

A lot of people thinks that since it is winter, you don’t need to put on your sun screen.  Well, you cannot be more wrong for even during winter, you need your sunscreen everyday … and you not just when the sun is out.. but even when the sun is not out.  As long as you are walking out the door, the sunscreen goes on for me.  Don’t let the cold weather fool you now… because the harmful UV rays can damage your skin all year round.  In fact, I hear that the reflective snow and ice can actually make it even worst for your skin.  So make sure you protect your skin with daily moisturizer and those that contains sunscreen.  I use this Dermalogica Dyanmic Skin SPF 30 and it is like $78.

Being a mother one is of course more concerned about what you put on your kids skin than our own. And with the summer here.. the higher the SPF .. the better it is. And don’t forget to look out for the expiry date of these things.. because once it expires.. it doesn’t work as good anymore. The ingredient inside the sunblock is broken down.. and it is no longer effective. Banana Boat for Kids is recognized by the Canadian Dermatology Association… and recommended. You and i wouldn’t wanna get anything less for our kids .. and that’s for sure eh. At $10.49 .. definitely must buy NOW..!
