Yes! we are going on a trip soon – in fact sooner than you think and time does goes by really fast and when you have a spouse who have no plans – you know you have to have a to-do list. Call it paranoia or whatever name you want – I like to be prepared – for example I need to have a breakdown service number to call and know what to do in case our RV breaks down or if one of us get sick. Which hospital can we go to and making sure that we have all our health insurance in order. Plus, I also need a list of things we have to remember to bring and also traveling medication – for tummy aches, diarrhea and hives etc. Yes ! unless I have my to-do list all done – I’m not going anywhere.

Shopping with my girlfriends who works 9 – 5 is not always possible – well unless they are looking for gadgets like the Galaxy Tablet PC . You see – my spouse is pretty tech savvy – so they think I should know all about the latest gadget. The Galaxy Tablet is not entirely new to me – as you can see – I’ve seen this on sale since April this year – at our local electronic store and it’s great for e-reading and watching u-tube and it’s smaller than the iPad if you are wondering. It does more than an iPad for a lot cheaper in my opinion. Plus it double up as a speaker phone as well as a mobile phone using a bluetooth headset. Like the iPad – you can connect to the internet thru’ Wi-fi – and did I tell you it’s a lot cheaper than the iPad? Yup! I would buy this instead of the bulky iPad that’s for sure. Did i mentioned it’s only at $199? so when the girlfriends asked if they should get this – I told them to go right ahead.
Yes! they go hand in hand – so when I saw that my friend’s 60 yrs old mother getting help with Medicare plan and wanting to stay not only healthy but beautiful. I admire her for being so tech savvy and finding out all about this medicare plan that can help people like her – who have health problem get the best benefits so that they can stay both beautiful and healthy even though they are old.
I too hope that I can stay this happy and healthy when I am this old – exercising regularly and taking the best care of my health and of course trying to look as beautiful as I am now. But yes ! if only everyone knows about professional who can help on get the best medical plan and care – that would be wonderful because everyone deserves to be able to afford to stay not only healthy but beautiful as well.
We were up in the city last week and had the opportunity to visit a spa in the city and spend a day there with my friends who moved there. It was a good to see them again and it was very relaxing without any of our children with us that day. The beau had taken the kid for a swim in the hotel – to amuse them. The spa was quite different from the one at home and I especially liked the laminate floor that they used because I had been thinking of putting laminates down for my basement floors too. I honestly feel that they are so much easier to clean and mop and at the end of the day – they are better for the beau who has asthma. I love my carpet during the winters but it irks me that I cannot shampoo it as often as I would like.
They have a corner for people who wants to learn how to do their make up better or a spa party. We had a steam bath, an aromatherapy massage and a pedicure that day – the package came with a light lunch and some green tea. What I liked most was that the massage bed had heated beds – and it was really nice. Like all my spa treatment – I’m a bit shy having to disrobe in front of another woman – and massages makes me wanna just totally forget about the world – and not chat – but when you go with your girlfriends – well – you know what chatterbox we can be. The estheticians were very helpful – and even provided with me information for my interest on the laminate floors. The package cost us about $175 + taxes and of course we tipped 15% as well.
While ordering some labels for the kid’s summer camp – I thought I should look up at Kids Birthday Invitations as well – and not wait till the last minute like I always do. I’ve gotten some good ideas now – and the invites starts from as low as $1 and that I can certainly afford – I didn’t want generic cards this time – because she is turning 8 years old this year. I figured a little class is required for an 8 yrs old and maybe her other classmates parents can start making special invites for their kids too. I know mine love nice looking cards a lot and appreciates them. The above is one that I pick for now – but there are many others that one can choose from.
I even tried out the software provided and had a simple card made out for my kid’s invite – having words printed is more expensive but the end result is definitely more professional. I loved it – they look so cute right?
My spouse’s niece came to me the other night and asked me about the best acne remedies – she is a teenager and she hated that she was being teased for her acne on her face and her body. She keeps clean and as hygienic as possible but she is still getting acne – and it is kinda embarrassing for her. She had also started going for expensive facials and it didn’t seems to help at all – so she wants to know my opinion. I re-directed her to some sites that I know and are reputable about acne and told her to stop going for facials because sometimes it aggravates it more than help the acne and acne needs to be treated with special acne cream – or to see a dermatologist which we do not have here in this town. So the next best thing to do is to get the best acne cream that has this money back guaranteed offered online. I feel so bad for her and hope it works for her.
We received a baby girl announcement from Paper Culture baby announcements from a dear friend in SF – and it was a beautiful baby announcement card. I wished I could have done the same for my kid when she was born. But I didn’t know about all this on the internet 7 years ago. Having a baby is such a huge thing for us mummies and had I known about this special announcement cards – I would spare no cost – to announce to the world about my JOY. So I envy my friend and her baby – when I received the special announcement card – and I so loved it. So here I am looking at this beautiful baby and wondering what to get her – and decided that I should get her a skin care basket. What could be more wonderful than to keep a baby skin all smooth and silky soft right? start them young and start them right – my mother used to say.
So we had new teflon hose put in the home for our water heater because our water heater was getting old and we want to make sure that the kids don’t burn their skin while using the shower and to keep the shower safe for everyone. So we were all happy that a new hose had been finally put in after 7 years in this house of ours – as recommended by our contractor. Now I don’t have to worry about the water heater anymore at home – and we can take our shower using our hot water heater from now on – I don’t mind using the old hose – but it is getting out of shape and all – it’s definitely safer now. We were also told that teflon hose are the best – so even though it was a little more expensive – I think it was worth paying for.
Summer is round the corner and I had asked the spouse to transfer some of my exercise equipment into the basement for it is too hot to exercise in the tv room. But he also needed to get some audio video cables so that I can play my aerobics dvd in the basement and do some aerobic or step aerobics. I love a man who knows all about cables or moving things around, I used to know someone who don’t even know how to tune his own VCR – what a shame eh. But if you asked me – I wouldn’t know one cable from another – but I’m a woman – so it’s alright. Shopping for accessories and clothing and even household items I’m the best at it – but when it comes to anything electronic – I leave it to the man.
